Mr Max Factor was a visionary make up artist, wig maker, and an inventor. He was born in Russia and emigrated in 1914 to America. He settled in LA to be closer to the budding film industry. Max Factor was known for creating a look that stood out to everyone. He works spoke for itself, many people got to know about him before he knew it he was working with Hollywood's leading stars. He was making his cosmetic products for glamorous yet realistic looks on screen. In 1916 he started selling eyeshadows and pencils. This was the first time these sorts of products were available outside the movie industry. Four years from then he launched a full range of cosmetics or makeup as he used to call it. The products and techniques that he created for the movie industry and his Hollywood clients earned him an Oscar. Which helped build his guiding philosophy, which was that any women can be glamorous given the right tools and make up artsy skills. He created mascaras, foundations, eyeshadows, lip glosses and much more. Max Factor put the transformative tools for makeup artistry into the hands of every woman. Helping her create her look, every day. He worked with many famous people such as Ava Gardner, Jean Harlow, and Marlene Dietrich. His main aim was to make sure all women were able to use his products.
