Manic Panic was born out of the Punk Rock scene on the 7th July 1977. Today an internationally recognised brand, Manic Panic was founded when sisters Tish and Snooky borrowed five hundred dollars from their mother so that they could open a punk-themed boutique in St Mark’s Place, New York.
It was actually their mother who named the brand Manic Panic, because the girls worked on their business during the day but at night they partied hard! Before long, they introduced a range of cosmetics to their boutique. It was in the 1990s that the brand went mainstream, becoming popular with models and celebrities and catching the attention of the media.
Today, Manic Panic are famous for their semi-permanent, brightly coloured hair dyes available in every shade of the rainbow. Men and women love the range of colours – from Cotton Candy Pink to Atomic Turquoise – and the way they deliver a stronger, longer-lasting semi-permanent colour.
Vegan certified, Manic Panic products are tested on celebrities not animals.
